This week's Sampler is one geared toward the seasoned, experienced smoker that appreciates the explosive tastes a fuller-bodied premium cigar can deliver.

MONTECRISTO ESPADA RICASSO (Nicaragua.....5 x 54)
A full-bodied beauty of a thick cocoa colored robusto.  It is made up of the finest Nicaraguan tobaccos with the help of the Plasencia blenders.  The draw is on the firm side with predominant oatmeal and cinnamon flavors.  Primo Strength Rating:  9

AVO CLASSIC ROBUSTO  (Dominican Republic.....5 x 50)
The Classic's Connecticut shade grown wrapper looks as creamy as it smokes and makes this stick a slight deviation from the full-body theme of this week's Sampler.  Medium in body, silky smooth, easy draw and lush smoke with tastes of caramel and macadamia nuts.  Primo Strength Rating:  5

DUNBARTON TOBACCO AND TRUST TODOS LAS DIAS TORO  (Nicaragua.....6 x 52)
This Nicaraguan puro features a dark reddish and veiny wrapper that looks and tastes delicious.  This stick IS intended for the seasoned smoker.  Its smoke is lush and powerful and very full-bodied with hints of cayenne pepper, espresso and mole' sauce.  Primo Strength Rating:  9

L'ATELIER MADURO 52  (Nicaragua.....6 x 52)
The first thing you will notice is the dark, rugged, oily and veiny wrapper.  Full in body and producing hay-like taste upon lightup, the firm draw and slow burn produces notes of black pepper and tropical spices.  Primo Strength Rating:  8

A $59 value for only $45!

PRIMO'S CIGAR TIP OF THE WEEK: When I first got into the tobacco business in the late 70's and began smoking premium cigars I remember my mother commenting that my cigars did not smell anywhere near as offensive as my grandfather's pea soup green El Productos!  And why didn't my house smell like my grandfather's stinky living room?  Well, if you want to minimize the stench simply empty your ashtrays.  Don't let those butts sit around for days on end in your ashtrays.  Empty them daily into a lidded butt can. ~Ty Anderle
